The driver of this Toyota Corolla would have had a much better day had he waited his turn in traffic like everyone else. Instead he chose to weave between the cammer and the Renault Fluence waiting at the light, which ended very badly.
We wouldn’t go as far as to say that the punishment fit the crime, this isn’t some type of “karma strikes back” type of thing, because this type of incident can have tragic consequences not just for the driver at fault, but for innocent bystanders too.
Somebody could have been seriously hurt (or worse), the moment in which the Corolla flipped over upon making contact with the curb. It’s a good thing no pedestrians were there.
At the same time, we hope the driver and any passengers that may have been in the Toyota were wearing their seat belts, because the car definitely pulled a few G’s during that aerial twist. As for the person driving the Renault, they were probably OK, seen as how the car didn’t jerk forward much at the moment of impact.
This crash brought back memories of watching this Audi A3 flip over in traffic last year, after its driver tried to split two cars – a somewhat similar scenario. That Audi actually caught fire as soon as it came to a halt, which is something that thankfully didn’t happen here.
