The first Bugatti Chiron came out over two years ago and the Molsheim-based supercar maker delivered the 100th example last month.
Therefore, when we see two Chirons testing in the Nordschleife, it’s only natural to start asking questions.
Both Chirons in the following video appear to be stock – or as stock as a 1,500PS (1,479hp / 1,103kW) and 1,600Nm (1,180lb-ft) of torque quad-turbocharged W16 hypercar is anyway.

A few potential answers may lie in some recent reports. One of them claims that Bugatti might be ready to pull the cover off a Super Sport derivative, which will sport a number of mechanical upgrades and might try to set a new top speed record.
The other one talks about a new, unknown variant that was shown to potential customers earlier this spring, while there have also been rumors about an updated version of the recently launched Chiron Sport.
Whatever we have here, one thing appears to be certain: Bugatti is onto something; we just don’t know what it is yet. If we were to guess, though, we’d put our money on the Super Sport scenario, though we wouldn’t bet on it being launched any time soon.
