Hyundai UK announced the pricing and range details of the facelifted i20, the company’s Ford Fiesta and VW Polo rival.

The new Hyundai i20 goes on sale now in the country, offering new connectivity and safety features as well as a refreshed exterior design that help the Korean supermini model look fresher and more competitive.

Hyundai has also added the option of a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission for the i20 1.0 T-GDI 100PS version, replacing the automatic gearbox of the previous model and improving its fuel economy.

The new Hyundai i20 is offered with an entry-level 1.2-liter petrol engine paired to a five-speed manual, making 73hp (75PS) or 83hp (84PS). The range includes the aforementioned turbocharged 1.0-liter unit in 98hp (100PS) and 118hp (120PS) versions. The more powerful 1.0-liter T-GDI model comes with a six-speed manual as standard, instead of the five-speed unit found in the 98hp version.

Prices for the Hyundai i20 start from £13,995 for the S model with the 73hp 1.2-liter engine while the SE trim level with the 1.0-liter T-GDI engine starts from £16,395.
