We get it: driving supercars is exciting, but there’s a place and a time for everything, and if you’re in the mood for a slalom, try a specialized course somewhere instead of public roads.
Obviously, though, no one told this Audi R8 driver, who performed this maneuver at the PA Turnpike in Pennsylvania.
Regardless of how stable or maneuverable you feel your car is, executing this type of move on the freeway can be very dangerous and put not just yourself, but others at risk, too.
Just ask the person piloting this Audi A6, who had a really close call while splitting lanes a few months back. The two videos are actually pretty similar, except for how the A6 nearly made contact with one of the cars ahead.
So, unless you’re actually chasing somebody down and you have a badge, you simply must not do this! It doesn’t matter what you’re driving or how skilled you might be behind the wheel; this kind of driving is plain irresponsible. If you absolutely need to get your high-speed kicks (yes, we all have at some time), at least make sure you’re in the left lane and the road ahead is empty. Not that this is legal, but it’s the lesser of two evils…
