If you’re not exactly familiar with the automotive industry news, then we’ll remind you that BMW replaced the old 5-Series GT with an entirely new model last year.
It’s called the 6-Series GT, sits on the CLAR modular platform of the regular 5- and 7-Series, and has a slightly longer footprint than its predecessor.
Due to the weird-shaped rear end, the BMW 6-Series GT is not the prettiest ride there is. And while some might think of it as a Mercedes-Benz CLS and Audi A7 Sportback rival, in reality BMW’s entry in the four-door coupe niche is the 6-Series Gran Coupe.
However, if you can see beyond its unattractive exterior, then you’ll find a very spacious cabin equipped with the brand’s latest technology. Soft plastics are there, as are piano black and aluminum trims, comfortable front seats and lots of room at the back even for three adults.

Space and practicality is where the new 6-Series GT scores high, notes WhatCar in their review, adding that apart from ample passenger room, there’s also enough boot space for a few suitcases. With the rear seats up, it has a 610lt (21.54cu-ft) capacity, but fold them down, and you have up to 1,800lt (63.57cu-ft) of cargo space at yous displosal.
Thanks to the standard air suspension, the car is surprisingly comfortable on the road. It’s a great long-distance cruiser, with the trade-off being that the 6-Series GT doesn’t corner as good as a 5-Series.
