We’re still a month away from Lamborghini launching its first modern SUV in the U.S. market but thanks to Doug DeMuro, we get a detailed tour of the new Urus.
The new Lamborghini Urus is arguably a striking SUV but striking is what you learned to expect from a company like Lamborghini. The Italian car maker managed to give the Urus a very aggressive design that not everyone is going to like, but it will definitely grab the attention of everyone on the road. Hey, if you didn’t want the attention, why did you buy a Lambo in the first place?
Moving on to the interior, the Urus mixes sharp lines with the latest technologies the VW Group could offer, including the new dual-screen infotainment system seen in Audis, only here it gets Lamborghini’s graphics.
The coffee-brown leather in this specific Euro-spec example really looks rather lovely and according to DeMuro is of the highest quality, including the expanded stitching. Another feature of this example is the two separate rear seats, which is an option for those not wishing to take full advantage of the practicality offered by their five-door Lamborghini.
Power comes from a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 that produces 641hp (650PS) and 627lb-ft (850Nm) of peak torque. Lamborghini says that the Urus will do the 0-62mph (100km/h) in 3.6 seconds and hit 190mph (305km/h) flat out.
