McLaren launched the online configurator of the new 600LT, giving everyone the opportunity to bring the new supercar to their perfect spec.
The new McLaren 600LT is the most unhinged Sport Series model the company has ever made, but that was to be expected from a car that brings back the LongTail name.
The twin-turbo 3.8-liter V8 has been revised to produce 592hp (600PS) and 457lb-ft (620Nm) of torque. Combined with a kerb weight figure of 1,247kg (2,749lbs), the new McLaren 600LT comes with power/weight ratio of 474hp per tonne.
Performance of the 600LT is really strong, with McLaren claiming a 0-60mph in 2.8 seconds (0-100km/h in 2.9), while 0-124mph (200km/h) comes in just 8.2 seconds. Top speed is set at 204mph (328km/h).
Perhaps the most important options of the new McLaren 600LT are the Clubsport and Clubsport Pro packs. The first one adds a set of lightweight carbon fiber racing seats, a carbon fiber interior upgrade that includes extended gearshift paddles, a carbon fiber roof and fender louvers, titanium wheel bolts and more. The Clubsport Pro adds on top of everything six-point harnesses along with their harness bar.
There are plenty of paint finishes to choose from, but in our case we went for the Luminaire Green, along with the extended carbon fiber treatment. For the interior, we wanted something more than just black so we opted for the black-orange Alcantara combo.
