Most any hotel will call you a cab to get you where you need to go, or help arrange a rental car if you want to drive yourself. Some even offer complementary limousine service. But if you stay at this one hotel in the UK, you can drive a Morgan roadster.

The result of a new partnership between the Morgan Motor Company and Pride of Britain Hotels, guests at The Nare Hotel near Cornwall will be able to borrow a Morgan 4/4 to explore the Roseland Peninsula and surrounding region.

Or rent one, we should say, because access is not complementary. Access costs £250 per day, which is a bit more than you’d have to pay for most rental cars. But then, last we checked, Hertz and Avis don’t stock Morgans. And they probably wouldn’t pack you a lunch in the car’s picnic hamper, either.

The longest-running production vehicle in the industry, the Morgan 4/4 has been produced (largely in the same form) since 1936. The two-seat convertible was Morgan’s first four-wheeled vehicle and packs a four-cylinder engine – hence the name. The current version packs a Ford Sigma engine displacing 1.6 liters and producing a modest 110 horsepower (82 kW). Hardly the most potent roadster on the road, then, but it could be just the ticket for cruising the southeastern English coast.

The Nare is the first hotel to offer the service, but it won’t be the only one. Morgan plans to offer it at more Pride of Britain Hotels – a network of some 50 independently owned luxury boutique hotels across the UK.
