The Nurburgring is not only an extremely fun place to test the limits of cars, but a very dangerous one, too, which has claimed the integrity of numerous vehicles over the years and, worse of all, even a few lives, too.

Luckily, however, the driver of this Volkswagen Scirocco appears to have walked away from a horrific crash on her own, according to the description of the video posted at the bottom of the page.

The same cannot be said of the German coupe, which suffered a lot of damages that have probably made it a write-off. Okay, so what happened in the precious seconds before the impact?

The film shows the Scirocco approaching a left turn (Metzgesfeld?) and slightly losing it, but the traction control kicked in and she was able to recover. But as the car carried too much speed, the inevitable happened in the next left corner, as it missed the braking zone and plunged head-on into the side barrier.

What happens next is truly shocking, as the car rolls three times before landing on its roof. Immediately, one of the track officials waves the yellow flag, which signals a hazard on the track.

As for the driver, she apparently honked twice to let everyone know that she’s okay and eventually managed to find her way out of the wreckage on her own.

The Scirocco was eventually picked up by a towing truck, suffering some more damage – but the important thing is that the driver walked away unhurt.
