Aston Martin’s latest model, the DBS Superleggera, tackled the famous hill climb at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, this past weekend.

Besides making its dynamic debut, ‘Super GT‘, as the British marque calls it, celebrated its public premiere, too, after being unveiled online at the end of June.

With its sexy carbon fiber body sitting atop an evolved chassis shared with the DB11, the Superleggera uses Aston’s 5.2-liter V12 engine, which has been massaged to deliver 725PS (715hp / 533kW) and 900Nm (663lb-ft) of torque.

Output is channeled to the rear wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission by ZF, and a mechanical limited-slip differential with torque vectoring. Officially, the Aston Martin DBS Superleggera can sprint from rest to 100km/h (0-62mph) in just 3.4 seconds and will march on to a top speed of 339km/h (211mph), in Sport Plus mode. Drivers can also choose between two other modes, called GT and Sport.

Following its presence on Lord March’s domain, the Aston Martin DBS Superleggera will head to dealers. Europeans will be the first who will get to order it, with pricing kicking off from £225,000 ($297,674) in the United Kingdom and €274,995 ($321,272) in Germany.

The Grand Tourer will launch in the United States, too, in the third quarter of the year, where it will set buyers back for at least $304,995.
