Whenever they’re not filming for Amazon’s The Grand Tour, Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May are usually back in the United Kingdom.
And this is where Hammond and May were recently spotted in a Ferrari 458 Speciale. The car isn’t owned by the Italian firm nor it is part of some marketing stunt, as it has James May’s name on the papers.
Captain Slow has had it in his possession for a few years now, driving it occasionally and, of course, taking good care of it. According to the description of the video, James May was recently accompanied by his colleague, Richard Hammond, to get his supercar MoTd.

After completing the tests, which include road-worthiness aspects, exhaust emissions and overall vehicle safety, and which are mandatory for all cars over three years old used on public roads in the United Kingdom, the two men were seen driving off together, with May holding the wheel and Hammond riding shotgun.
As for Captain Slow’s Ferrari 458 Speciale, it’s finished in a special shade called Rosso Dino. The more extreme version of the 458 Italia was put together for three short years, between 2013 and 2015, and comes with updated aerodynamics, new wheels, and an increase in engine power.
The 605PS (597hp / 445kW) and 540Nm (398lb-ft) of torque produced by the naturally aspirated 4.5-liter V8 engine allow it to hit the 100km/h (62mph) mark in just three seconds, and 200km/h (124mph) in 9.1sec, from a standstill.
