Remember Boba Motoring and their crazy Volkswagen Golf Mk2? Well, they just released a new video with it, which shows it accelerating to 300 km/h (186 mph).
This Golfcar is powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder that has been extensively tuned. Last time we heard about it, it was producing a mind-blowing 1,233PS (1,216hp / 907kW) and 1,094Nm (807lb-ft) of torque.
Equipped with a modern DSG dual-clutch automatic transmission and an all-wheel drive system, the tuner’s second-generation Golf can eat Lamborghini Huracans and Ferrari 488s for breakfast. And for lunch, it would digest Bugatti Veyrons – and probably Chirons, too.

When we last reported on it, the hyper hatch could run the quarter mile in 8.69 seconds, at 273 km/h (170 mph), and it took only 2.53 seconds to reach 100 km/h (62 mph). As for the top speed, it’s been said to be in excess of 350 km/h (217 mph).
In the meantime, though, more work has gone into the crazy Golf that’s said to benefit from a new turbocharger and a different setup for the gearbox. The result? Well, an astounding 8-second acceleration from 0 to 300 km/h (186 mph). Insane doesn’t even begin to describe it, but you can verify it by watching the following clip.
