As the refreshed Mercedes-AMG C63 is about to launch in the UK, the company has just released the official pricing information of its performance model.

Prices for the 2019 C63 start at £66,429 for the Saloon, £67,629 for the Estate, £68,719 for the Coupe and £72,537 for the Cabriolet. No other rival offers so many bodystyles to choose from, and that gives Mercedes an advantage when it comes to attracting customers.

The biggest mechanical change over the outgoing model is the replacement of the seven-speed automatic transmission for AMG’s latest nine-speed Speedshift MCT. The new transmission features a wet clutch instead of a torque converter for less weight and better response.

All versions of the C63 now come with AMG Ride Control adaptive suspension and an electronically controlled limited-slip differential, previously available only on the more powerful S models, as standard. Speaking of, the 2019 C63 S comes with dynamic engine mounts.

The twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 still produces 469hp (476PS) in C63 and 503hp (510PS) in the C63 S. 0-62mph (100km/h) comes in 3.9 seconds, in the case of the C63 S Coupe, while top speed is limited to 155mph (250km/h) in the C63 and to 180mph (289km/h) in the C63 S.

The 2019 C63’s equipment list includes Multibeam LED headlights, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10.25-inch connected infotainment system, ambient lighting and more. The C63 S adds a nine-stage AMG traction control, AMG Performance seats and more. Carbon brakes are a £4,285 option.

The 2019 Mercedes-AMG C63 can be ordered now in the UK, with the first deliveries to commence in October.
