While the Audi R8 V10 Plus and Lamborghini Huracan are very similar, they appeal to very different buyers.
Whereas Lamborghini customers often demand over-the-top styling, unchained performance and ridiculous exhaust notes, those who purchase the R8 often look for something slightly more sophisticated, understated and refined. While the following R8 V10 Plus has these traits, it also has some of the menace of the Huracan, which might just make it the best of both worlds.
The most obvious point of difference between this R8 and most others is the Satin Black paint finish which transforms the look of the supercar, making it look like a miniature Batmobile – or an F-117 Nighthawk stealth bomber. Complementing the paint scheme is a bespoke front splitter, large rear wing and a large rear diffuser.
Strasse Wheels then got its hands on the mid-engine supercar and outfitted it with a pair of SV10M Deep Concave FS wheels with a gloss black lip and spokes with a carbon fiber finish. Measuring 20×9 at the front and 21×12.5 at the rear, these wheels suit the R8 perfectly.
Like the Huracan, the R8 V10 Plus is powered by a naturally-aspirated 5.2-liter V10 delivering 610 hp, so it offers near-identical performance. The question is, given a choice between this R8 and a Satin Black Huracan, which one would you go for?
