BMW 5-Series Sedan Joins Cast Of Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan

While BMW cars do have a long history of popping up on the big screen, now, the German automaker will be making its debut in the world of video streaming.

In fact, a wide range of BMW models will be featured alongside CIA analyst and agent Jack Ryan, in a new Amazon series titled ‘Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan’. Season One will be available exclusively on Prime Video starting August 31, 2018.

The character of Jack Ryan is being played by John Krasinski (A Quiet Place, 13 Hours, The Office), who is joined by Wendell Pierce and Abbie Cornish to complete a star-studded cast.

Ryan and his CIA colleagues will rely strongly on the 540i xDrive Sedan, powered by a high-performance inline six-cylinder engine. The fact that the car also comes with all-wheel drive will prove useful during a chase sequence which is said to occur in the snow.

Other models being featured are the X5 and X6, as well as the legendary BMW 2002.

Interest in the new Amazon series has proven high so far. In fact, the Super Bowl teaser was subsequently viewed by more than 15 million people on YouTube.
