Bugatti continues to tease the upcoming Divo hypercar by releasing four videos of high-ranking Bugatti personnel discussing the car.
The videos below feature Bugatti boss Stephen Winkelmann, director of Design Achim Anscheidt, head of Exterior Design Frank Heyl, and Divo project leader Pierre Rommelfanger. While the clips are short and not much new is revealed about the latest Bugatti, they’re sure to get you excited about the new hypercar.
In perhaps the most revealing of the four, Winkelmann confirms that the Divo will be light and produce a lot of downforce, allowing it to be more agile and nimble than any road-going Bugatti before it. He also casually confirms that the vehicle will be restricted to 40 units and priced from 5 million euros ($5.77 million), making it the most expensive series production car ever.
Towards the end of July, Bugatti published a teaser image of the Divo showing off an aggressive aero blade on the side of the vehicle, confirming that the car will receive some inspiration from the Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo.
While we know that the Divo will be based on the Chiron, it remains to be seen if it will be marketed and sold as a special edition of the Chiron or an entirely new model. Similarly, it is unclear if the 40 examples will be included in the 500 units of the Chiron’s production run.
Due to the greater focus on downforce than the standard Chiron, it’s believed the Divo will have a slightly lower top speed.
