The Bugatti Divo hypercar will be released in just four days and prior to its reveal, the French manufacturer has dropped a series of new teasers of the car.
In typical Bugatti fashion, the Instagram pictures don’t show much. What they do show, however, is the Divo speeding through a series of corners. This is fitting as Bugatti says the Divo has been “Built for Corners”.
If you look closely at the blurry Divo in the pictures, you’ll notice that it sports a multi-colored paint scheme. In fact, it appears as if the car combines elements of dark blue, silver/white, as well as turquoise.
Based on other recent Divo teasers, we know that design inspiration will be taken from the Vision Gran Turismo Concept from a few years ago. One of the most obvious design similarities will be the Divo’s adoption of a towering rear wing and an aggressive shark fin to improve aerodynamic stability and cornering. Additionally, the Divo will sport mean aero aids on the side skirts.
Reports assert that beyond adorning the Divo with some new wings to increase downforce, the car manufacturer has also worked hard to eliminate some of the car’s unnecessary weight. While it will be lighter than the run-of-the-mill Chiron, it won’t be light. That means it will probably still weigh more than 1800 kg (3968 lbs).
Minor changes are expected to the quad-turbo 8.0-liter W16 but most significantly, Bugatti is thought to have added a motorsport-derived transmission to improve acceleration while also adding to the driver involvement.
Just 40 units of the Bugatti Divo will be produced, each priced at €5 million ($5.88 million).
