If you’re into race bikes, then feast your eyes on this limited edition Buildbase Suzuki GSX-R1000R replica, priced at £19,999 ($25,783). While the price does seem steep, you do get a numbered fuel tank, multiple Yoshimura components and a host of genuine accessories.
The bike is meant to mimic the British Superbike and Superstock 1000 racers of Bradley Ray, Richard Cooper and Billy McConnell, using an accurate replica paint scheme.
Also available are the Yoshimura R11 SQ exhaust and hangar, and the Yoshimura mirror blanks for track use.
Genuine Suzuki accessories fitted to this bike include engine case savers, brake and clutch lever guards, paddock stand bobbins, a double bubble screen, pillion seat cowl, plus a tank protector and fuel cap trim. Suzuki will even throw in a branded Ogio kit bag, paddock stand, bike cover and a GSX-R garage mat.
The Buildbase Suzuki team has achieved wins in both the superbike and superstock classes this season, while also securing three podium finishes at Cadwell Park. Meanwhile, Billy McConnell keeps hold of the National Superstock 1000 championship lead.
Suzuki customers in the UK can finance their GSX-R1000R Buildbase replica just as they would the regular GSX-R1000R, using the motorcycle brand’s current 2,3,4% multi-year finance campaign. While specs aren’t mentioned, if they mirror those of the 2018 GSX-R1000R, it would mean 202 HP @ 13,200rpm and 117.6 Nm (86.7 lb-ft) @ 10,800 rpm. Top speed is 300 km/h (186 mph).
