Following an earlier report on the matter, Hyundai has confirmed the pricing and range details of the 2019 Santa Fe XL, which is the former seven-seat, long-wheelbase Santa Fe.
Apart from the subtle name change, the 2019 Santa Fe XL also gets a more capable infotainment system, which retains the eight-inch touchscreen display but now features a faster processor, traffic flow and incident data that require no subscription and a dedicated ‘Favorites’ hard button which can be personalized.
Pricing for the 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe XL starts from $31,830 (including a $980 freight charge), the same with last year’s model, in the SE FWD model. The range has been further streamlined, dropping some trim levels from last year’s range, including the SE Ultimate and SE Ultimate with Tech Package. Customers will be instead offered the Limited Ultimate and Limited Ultimate with Tech Package trim levels.
Standard specification for the 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe XL includes 18-inch alloy wheels, Hill-Start Assist Control, Downhill Brake Control, automatic headlights, keyless system with alarm, privacy rear glass, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 90-day trial on Sirius XM Radio, Bluetooth hands-free system, a trailer prep package with 5,000lbs towing capacity, a 3-year complimentary trial of the company’s connected Blue Link services and more.
Opt for the Limited Ultimate model and you’ll get a six-passenger seating setup, with second-row captain’s chairs, LED taillights, 19-inch alloy wheels, a panoramic sunroof, a premium audio system and more.
The single engine option is a 3.3-liter GDI V6 with 290hp, paired to a six-speed automatic transmission. As before, an all-wheel drive system is available.
