A new teaser image of Infiniti’s upcoming electrified performance concept has been released ahead of the vehicle’s premiere at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance later this month.

The car manufacturer has previously stated that the concept will “bridge the divide between new and old,” suggesting that it will be retro-inspired, much like the Prototype 9 concept unveiled 12 months ago.

This particular image provides us with a side-view of the single-seat cabin and tiny windshield. Previous teasers have also focused on the car’s cabin and indicated that it will indeed be more race car than road car and a concept in the truest sense of the word.

Responsible for the car’s design is Infiniti executive design director Karim Habib, who previously worked at BMW.

In a recent statement, the car manufacturer said the concept will “provide a window into the brand’s desire to deliver driving enjoyment and thrilling performance from electrified powertrains.”

As mentioned, the vehicle will be electrified and, in all likelihood, fully-electric. While it remains unclear how powerful it will be, the car’s design suggests that it should be rather brisk.

Everything points towards this concept being absolutely stunning. Production seems unlikely, however. Nevertheless, there is a chance the technology used in its electric powertrain will be used in some form in Infiniti’s future range of electric vehicles, the first of which will launch in 2021.
