Land Rover has launched a new range of Pet Packs, designed to help dogs travel safer and more comfortably with their families, just in time for the International Dog Appreciation Day on August 26.
Each new Pet Pack includes a selection of specially chosen accessories that suit a range of requirements. The accessories include a premium quilted load space liner, a foldable pet carrier, access ramp, spill-resistant water bowl and even a portable rinse system, in case your dog loves mud.
“Our customers told us that the comfort of their dogs on car journeys is crucial”, said Finbar McFall, Product Marketing Director at JLR. “They are part of the family and we recognize that. Our new Pet Packs aim to allow dogs to travel in real comfort and make journeys simpler and more relaxing for dogs and at the same time protect the inside of owners’ vehicles.”
There are three packs to choose from: the Pet Load Space Protection Pack includes the quilted load space liner, a full-height luggage partition and a spill-resistant bowl; the Pet Transportation Pack, which includes a foldable pet carrier, spill-resistant water bowl and a rubber mat for the luggage compartment; and the Pet Care and Access Pack, which features a full-height luggage partition, the quilted load space liner, pet access ramp and the aforementioned portable rinse system.
The access ramp is ideal for helping older or smaller dogs access the rear load space, eliminating the need for lifting them, and can support up to 187lbs (85kg). It features aluminum side panels and a plastic center section with a high-grip pattern and rubber feet.
As for the portable rinse system, Land Rover’s new pet accessory can hold up to 1.7 gallons (6.5 liters) of water, delivering up to five minutes of continuous flow depending on which of the five spray settings is being used.
Land Rover’s new Pet Packs are available now for the Discovery Sport, Discovery, Range Rover Evoque, Range Rover Velar, Range Rover Sport and Range Rover.
