Some of you may remember Ligier as a French carmaker that used to be involved in Formula 1 between 1976 and 1996.
In more recent years, however, the company is not related to its founder, the famous racing driver and rugby player Guy Ligier, as the moniker is used by Onroak Automotive, under license.
Onroak is getting ready to unveil a new product next month, which it teased on their social media channels. The as-of-yet-unnamed sports car appears to have something very Ford Mustang-ish in its design, including the taillights and overall shape of the rear.

But as the company points out, it won’t be street legal, as it’s “homologated under FIA E II SH regulation”, and it should tip the scales at under 1,720lbs (780kg), as per FIA’s regulations of cars with engines up to 4,000cc.
Powering it will be a 3.7-liter V6 engine that generates 330PS (325hp / 242kW). The unit works in conjunction with a six-speed sequential gearbox, with steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters.
Except for the starting price of €89,000 ($103,916) in France, without any optional extras, nothing else is known about Ligier’s upcoming product. But as mentioned above, the new model will be officially unveiled in September, with sales to start in November this year.
