Toyota ceased production of the Verso last October, but sales of the compact minivan continued online until recently.
However, with the only units remaining in dealer lots and expected to be sold before the end of the year, in the UK at least, the automaker erased it from its British website a few weeks ago, Autocar discovered.
Moreover, browsing through the brand’s websites in other markets across the continent, including Germany, France, Italy and Spain, reveals that the Verso is no more. As for customers looking for a practical Toyota, they’ll have to make do with either the Auris Touring Sports, RAV4, Land Cruiser or ProAce Verso.

It’s very unlikely for Toyota to be working on a new compact MPV, given that consumers demand more crossovers and SUVs. A good example of moving on with the times is Peugeot, which turned the not-so-appealing 3008 minivan into a funky looking compact crossover, or Seat, which now has two high-riding vehicles in in its family, the Arona and Ateca, and a third one, the Tarraco, coming soon.
Mind you, compact MPVs aren’t totally dead in Europe yet. Volkswagen has the second-generation Touran around since 2015, the Citroen C4 Picasso became the SpaceTourer earlier this year, the Renault Scenic is in its fourth generation, and the Zafira may not be offered as a Vauxhall anymore, but it’s still available as an Opel.
