It’s true that we’ve seen more than our fair share of violent accidents and all kinds of scenarios being played out in real life that would have had a Hollywood blockbuster audience shrug in disbelief.

This is definitely one of them. A pickup truck that was initially rear-ended by a hit-and-run driver was demolished by a second vehicle, whose driver probably failed to keep their eyes on the road.

According to the Daily Mail, the crash took place on Highway 401 in Toronto last Saturday, around 7 PM, and despite its brutal nature, all three people involved somehow got out of it alive!

“When this vehicle was approaching [the truck] in lane one, there was no gesture to slow down. There was no gesture to signal and move over,” said Adil Kanan, the man whose dashcam captured the crash.

“You could tell whoever was operating that vehicle was not aware that this [truck] was in front of them. Many other vehicles who were passing the accident had ample time to slow down and move over safely, which they did.”

Upon impact, two people were hurled into the air as the pick-up hit the stationary tow truck. The third person involved in the crash can be seen reaching into the pick-up moments before the crash. He is then sent flying towards the median strip.

We presume the local authorities are already investigating this incident (or rather, incidents, including the one that left the truck stationary) and will proceed accordingly.
