When your think of full-size luxury SUVs, a Range Rover is most likely one of the first (if not the first) cars you will come to mind. That’s because the British brand is starring at the particular segment long before any of its rivals even thought of joining in.
The same applies to the slightly more compact Range Rover Sport; perhaps compact isn’t the right word for it, but you get the idea.
The latest version of the popular luxury SUV manages to blend the classic square design that customers like with strong engines and plenty of tech. The 2019 version comes with no less than three displays inside for the infotainment, the climate control and the instrument cluster.
As you would expect from a vehicle of this size and price tag, the interior also offers huge space (and an optional third row of seats) dressed in expensive materials. Comfort is a given, especially over long distances, but the model’s generous dimensions will probably need some getting used to before you start to feel comfortable in city streets.
On the other hand, the Range Rover Sport probably offers the best off-road abilities in its segment, although not that many owners will ever take it off the paved road.
With so many newer models flooding the segment, including the new Audi Q8, is the Range Rover Sport still one of the top choices in the class? Carwow delivers its verdict on the video below.
