If you’re in the market for a Hellcat-powered armored vehicle, your options are pretty much limited to the Rezvani Tank Military Edition. That’s changing today as Armormax has introduced the “bulletproof” Dodge Charger Hellcat.

Designed to appeal to police departments and governments that need serious protection as well as a supercharged 6.2-liter V8, the Charger has an armored passenger compartment which is lined in “light synthetic fiber laminates and air hardened, heat treated ballistic alloys.”’

The protection doesn’t stop there as the standard windows have been replaced new units which feature layers to glass, acrylic and polycarbonate laminates. The team also changed the suspension, installed run flat tires and added protection for the battery, radiator, fuel tank and ECU.

There’s no word on how much weight the armor has added, but Armormax says the model offers B7 levels of protection. This enables the car to withstand hits from high-powered rifles using armoring piercing rounds. Of course, it can also withstand smaller weapons fire.

Since the car was envisioned for police duty, it has been equipped with a push bar and emergency lights. The model can also be outfitted with an assortment of different options including bomb blankets and an external listening device.

Interestingly, Armormax says the Charger Hellcat is available with all-wheel drive that “can help keep you on your way in inclement weather.” That could be a typo, but an all-wheel driver Charger Hellcat is certainly an interesting proposition.
