It’s been a while since we last heard about the 1M Coupe, but luckily a new video of the tail-happy Bimmer surfaced.

The model, which has been a favorite with customers and fans alike, still costs about as much as a new M2 on the used car market, and remains one of the most exciting cars to come out of the M Division.

It was produced in just a little over 6,300 units, and uses the same N54 engine as the Z4 sDrive35iS – and, by the way, was the second M car to use a turbocharged lump after the X6 M.

The 3.0-liter straight-six makes 340 PS (335 hp / 250 kW) and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft) of torque, and rockets the 1M Coupe to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.9 seconds.

Okay, that’s not supercar territory, but driving it is a blast, and with a little skill, the 1M Coupe is an extremely fun ride.

The compilation that follows shows lots of drifting, but was shot on public roads, which is not something we can condone as these antics are best left for the track.
