Camaro, Blazer And Corvette ZR1 Are The Sharp End Of Chevy’s Lineup

As a mass-market automaker, Chevrolet produces a whole lot of different vehicles: hatchbacks, sedans, coupes, convertibles, crossovers, sport-utes, commercial vans, pickup trucks… even EVs. Just take a look at these latest reader-submitted spy shots from our man Brett.

Spotted in various states of dress while undergoing testing are just three of Chevy’s many models in their latest forms: a Camaro RS, a Corvette ZR1, and a couple of new Blazers.

These are all models we’ve seen unveiled already and they don’t show anything new, though some have some camo wrap here and there. But the scope of them – and the notion that they represent but a small proportion – shows just how varied the Bowtie brand’s lineup really is.

One of the largest in the industry, we’d say. As the principal brand of General Motors, still one of the largest automakers in the world, Chevy offers a robust lineup in the U.S. as its current range includes the Spark, Sonic, Cruze, Malibu, Impala, Camaro and Corvette. And those are just the “conventional” passenger cars.

Add to those the Trax, Equinox, Traverse, and Blazer crossovers, the Tahoe and Suburban SUVs, the Colorado and Silverado pickup trucks and the Volt and Bolt EVs, and you’re looking at a wide array of cars and trucks. And that’s before we even get into all the various configurations and trim levels available on each – especially the Silverado, which offers enough choices to make your head spin all on its own.

This trio, though, represents some of the most exciting models that Chevy offers for the 2019 model year. So even after the SS has been discontinued, and before the new mid-engined Corvette arrives, we’re glad to report that the sporting spirit is still alive and well in the Chevrolet offices at GM’s Renaissance Center in downtown Detroit.
