We’ve seen a great many silly things on Reddit as far as cars are concerned, from crazy cool mods to extremely tacky ones. There is of course a third category worth considering, and it involves cars trying to be something they’re not in a more subtle way.
So if this second-generation matte grey Ford Escort was anybody’s idea of a worthy car for a bunch of Batman logo stickers, then all we can say is: “Let the jokes begin!”
Like for example, is it pure coincidence that the second-gen Escort was assembled in Wayne, Michigan? Is it? Maybe. It actually was though.
We can also “fake-speculate” about what would have needed to happen to Bruce Wayne from a financial stand point, for this car to actually exist in the Batman comic book/movie universe. Remember when the Dark Knight was on the run during one of Nolan’s Batman flicks? He could have definitely used something like this in order to lay low. Still, you got to have the bat logos, otherwise it’s just another old hatchback.
Last but not least, we’d like to give a shout out to that gap between the headlights where the radiator grille would have been (actually on the Escort it was more of a radiator mask). Anyway, it’s probably where the grappling hooks are hidden. Well, that or this is just an old, beaten down car.
Who knows, right?
