North America will not receive the entry-level Mercedes-AMG GT 43 recently announced in Europe.

The vehicle is powered by a 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six cylinder that pumps out 362 hp and 369 lb-ft (500 Nm) of torque.

Mated to this engine is an AMG Speedshift TCT 9G nine-speed automatic transmission sending power through all four wheels courtesy of the marque’s advanced 4Matic+ system with fully variable torque distribution. An EQ Boost starter-alternator electric motor delivers an additional 22 hp and 184 lb-ft (250 Nm) in short bursts.

In ideal conditions, the GT 43 can accelerate to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 4.9 seconds before topping out at 168 mph (270 km/h). German pricing for the vehicle starts at €95,259 ($110,940).

Yet another car the U.S. misses out on.

While both the United States and Canada will receive the other three GT 4-door models, namely the GT 53, GT 63, and GT 63 S, neither will get the GT 43, Auto Guide reports.

“When the Mercedes-AMG GT 4-door Coupe launches in the US market it will be available as the GT 53, GT 63 and GT 63 S. At this time, we have made no announcement regarding US availability of the GT 43,” Mercedes-Benz USA spokesman Baron Smith said in a statement.

Mercedes Canada spokes Lucas Dias also issued a statement confirming the Great White North wouldn’t get the GT 43 either.

While no reason has been given, it seems clear that Mercedes-Benz has more faith in the powerful versions of the GT 4-door proving successful across the continent. As a reminder, the GT 53 delivers 429 hp, the GT 63 churns out 577 hp and the range-topping GT 63 S offers up a manic 630 hp.
