At first glance, this intersection might look a little bit confusing, but that’s partly because there’s no audio. If there was, hearing those sirens would easily explain why everybody (or almost everybody) was just standing still.
Thankfully, the color of the lights helps us better understand all that stillness. First, the cammer and that blue Kia Stinger were free and clear to make their left turn, as were the vehicles on the opposite side of the intersection. They didn’t move, though, because they must have heard that police convoy coming.
The driver of the Renault Clio, on the other hand, probably didn’t get to see the police cars because of that large red semi obstructing his view.
Unfortunately, this resulted in a direct impact with one of the police cars, and you can certainly tell by the footage just how violent the crash was. Thankfully, the man emerged from inside the French supermini seemingly OK. As for the officer, he or she was still in the car when the video cuts off, so we hope they are OK.
The accident took place last week in Opole, Poland, and according to 24opole, it is still under investigation by the local prosecutor’s office.
