Whether or not you think the latest generation Audi A8 looks perfect the way it is, tuners such as ABT Sportsline are in the business of giving you choices.

Thus, they set out to tamper with the looks of the German flagship saloon, which now comes with an aerodynamic body kit. It consists of several add-on parts, of “high quality”, according to the tuner, which include a front spoiler that “sharpens the existing lines”, and a rear skirt to “captivate with a restrained diffuser look that underlines the design language”.

For these parts, ABT is asking €2,252.10 ($2,593) in Germany, while the carbon fiber-made rear spoiler requires paying an extra €1,168.07 ($1,345). Both prices exclude tax.

Complementing the exterior design of this 2018 Audi A8 are several wheel and tire sets, from 20- to 22-inch in size, including the ABT Sport GR 22-inch ones with a matte black look and diamond-machined surface that equip the car pictured below.

ABT has yet to release images of the interior at this time, but states the start-stop-switch-cap and special shift knob cover “highlight the increased performance of the A8”.

These visual mods come as a completion of a performance upgrade aimed at the turbocharged 3.0-liter diesel engine that powers the Audi A8 50. Launched earlier this year, the ECU remap allows the oil burner to produce an extra 44 PS (43 hp / 32 kW) and 50 Nm (37 lb-ft) of torque, otherwise good for 286 PS (282 hp / 210 kW) and 600 Nm (443 lb-ft) of torque straight from the factory.
