Automotive enthusiasts might be prone to get a little picky when it comes to what car they’re going to drive (or be driven in), especially on special occasions, like their wedding day. But this couple took things even further.
Porsche fans John and Samantha Evans chose the Porsche Experience Center in Atlanta as the location for their wedding. And they exchanged their vows in the back of a Cayenne. While it was driving. Around the track.
“The entire day exceeded anything that I could have dreamed of,” said the bride. “It was perfect for us. It fit us and who we are and how much we love Porsche.”
After the rather unusual nuptials, the couple celebrated with family and friends at the complex, mingling with Porsches old and new, and even enjoying passenger ride-alongs around the same on-site, 1.6-mile circuit. (There was a video that’s since been taken down from every site but Drivetribe.)
“Everybody had a blast,” said the groom. “They were just blown away. I’ve been to dozens of weddings and they’re all pretty much the same. With this one, it was definitely different from the norm in a great way. If you’re a car enthusiast, you’re going to love it. Even if you weren’t a car enthusiast, how could you not love this?”
While this may be the first wedding performed at the Atlanta facility, Porsche is open to hosting more. “Weddings are a natural fit for our Porsche Experience Centres,” said Porsche Cars North America CEO Klaus Zellmer. “Samantha and John’s wedding is the first but hopefully won’t be the last.”
