Hennessey has just dropped a clip of its 600 hp Lincoln Navigator testing on the dyno. It can only be described as one of the most luxurious sleepers out there.
Typically, the Navigator comes outfitted with the same 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 as the Ford F-150 Raptor. This means the big SUV delivers the same 450 hp and 510 lb-ft of torque and is quite brisk off the line.
However, Hennessey Performance is never satisfied with the performance of a bone-stock vehicle and has decided to equip the vehicle with new engine software, a high-flow induction system, stainless steel exhaust, and an enlarged front-mounted intercooler. These modifications result in a total of 600 hp and allow the Navigator to reach 60 mph (96 km/h) in just 4.8 seconds and accelerate down the quarter-mile in 12.9 seconds at 107 mph (172 km/h).
When you want to take your kids to school comfortably and very quickly.
Despite how much power the Hennessey HPE600 Lincoln Navigator has, its engine is still remarkably quiet, as this dyno video shows.
Discussing the vehicle earlier this year, John Hennessey says it enjoys all the same modifications as the firm’s VelociRaptor 600.
“The 2018 Navigator is a world-class luxury SUV and we wanted to take its already impressive power and performance to the next level.
“Over the past 12 months we have built and delivered hundreds of VelociRaptor 600 upgrades to our new Ford Raptor clients. It made perfect sense to offer a similar upgrade package for the new Navigator, which has essentially the same engine.”
All Hennessey-tuned Lincoln Navigator models come with a 3 year / 36,000 mile (58,000 km) warranty.
