If there’s any SUV out there that can pull off having a bright red or yellow exterior, it’s the Lamborghini Urus. Performance figures aside, it is by far the most aggressive-looking crossover money can buy right now.
This particular example, spotted in Hengelo, in the Netherlands, by FBHengelo, is pulling off a great impression of Ferrari Red, which Lamborghini calls Rosso Mars and is one of the Urus’ metallic paint options.
Now, we know that Ferrari’s upcoming SUV isn’t being designed as a direct rival for the likes of the Bentley Bentayga. Instead, it will focus mainly on giving the Urus a proper run for its money. But until then, seeing an Urus wearing such an iconic Ferrari-like color is pretty interesting, if not a little cheeky on behalf of its owner.
Once a Ferrari rival does show its face (and it won’t be anytime soon), it will also have to contend with the Urus’ 4.0-liter twin turbocharged V8 engine, which sends 650 PS (641 HP) and 850 Nm (627 lb-ft) of torque to all four corners. In a straight line, Lamborghini’s still controversial SUV can claw its way to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.6 seconds, before maxing out at 305 km/h (190 mph).
So what do you think about this Lamborghini owner’s choice in color? It’s easily one of the flashiest available on the Urus, along with Giallo Auge (yellow) and maybe Blu Eleos (light but electric blue).
