The second-gen Audi R8 has recently been revamped, but with an insane amount of power, this pre-facelift example makes for a very exciting ride, too.
Tuned by Klasen Motors, who added a couple of turbochargers, the German supercar has an incredible 1,000 PS (986 hp / 736 kW) to play with. This makes it an absolute monster, one that has made the driver utter a certain expletive when he first pushed the accelerator pedal.
To better understand what 1,000 PS is like, let’s take a look at the 2019 R8’s official specs: 620 PS (611 hp / 456 kW) in the performance version, a modest 10 PS (10 hp / 7 kW) upgrade over its predecessor, and accelerates from 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in just 3.1 seconds.

So, just how quick is this tuned R8? Well, it hits the 100 km/h (62 mph) mark in under 3 seconds and flat out, it can probably do more than 350 km/h (217 mph), although in this footage, it was taken to ‘only’ 346 km/h (215 mph).
The run took place on a no-speed-limit German Autobahn, and was sprinkled with the engine’s V10 sound. Now would be a good time to turn the volume up a bit, click the play button and watch the insanely powerful R8 do its thing.
