Ford and Ferrari are rarely mentioned in the same sentence unless it involves the Ford GT, but that’s certainly not the case with this Mustang which debuted at SEMA last week.
While upgraded Mustangs are a dime a dozen at the show, this particular one is interesting as it has a 4.3-liter V8 engine sourced from a Ferrari F430 which was being parted. While it would have been easily enough to stop there, American Legends went on to install twin turbochargers from Nelson Racing and a new intake manifold sourced from a Ferrari California.
Hot Rod reports that the car hasn’t been dyno’d yet, but the company has a targeted output of 700 hp (522 kW / 709 PS) at the flywheel. That doesn’t seem sound too impressive considering Mopar introduced the 1,000 hp (745 kW / 1,013 PS) Hellephant at the show, but the car has significantly more power than your typical 1968 Ford Mustang.
Of course, the upgrades extend far beyond the engine compartment as the Corruptt Mustang has a RideTech suspension and Avant Garde wheels which are wrapped in Toyo tires and backed up by Wilwood brakes. Other exterior highlights include a chopped roof, a side exiting exhaust and 3D taillights.
The unique styling continues in the cabin as the floor and tunnel are constructed out of carbon fiber. The Mustang has also been equipped with low-back bucket seats which each feature four-point harnesses. Rounding out the highlights are a custom dashboard, a three-spoke steering wheel and a Corruptt-branded instrument cluster which tops out at 160 mph (257 km/h).
