The first-gen Fiat Panda may not be the most exciting car out there, but nevertheless, it gets the job done.
This example is more special than the rest, as it was owned by Lapo Elkan’s grandfather, Gianni Agnelli, who kept it in St. Moritz, Switzerland.
Agnelli used to take a helicopter ride to the famous resort, where he would drive the classic Panda 4×4 in the snowy roads. So, with the sentimental value in mind, Garage Italia Customs owner, and Agnelli’s grandson, Lapo Elkann proceeded to restore it.

The small hatchback’s exterior design now sports a silver finish and is adorned with a couple of stripes, in a dual-tone shade. The original rims are still in place, as are some of the mechanical parts, including the original, tiny engine.
While the design of this first-gen Panda is much less flamboyant compared to some of Garage Italia Customs’ other projects, the interior is cozier than ever.
This is where Lapo Elkann’s firm has used a dark blue shade for the fabric, which now covers the seats, dashboard and door panels. Called Vitale Barberis Canonico, it was apparently Agnelli’s favorite color, and is contrasted by black leather trim. Some of the original plastics are still there, and to give it a special touch, the company has added their logo inside.
