The Audi RS4 Avant is among the cars that need little to no introduction, as the ‘RS’ moniker has, over the years, become a synonym for a sporty chassis, a powerful engine and Quattro all-wheel drive. Too bad we can’t have one in the States.
When combined, these features, alongside some special equipment, turn this premium compact estate into a super wagon that rivals the likes of the Mercedes-AMG C63 Estate.
Audi Sports’ potent station wagon makes even the run to the local supermarket exciting. Thanks to the twin-turbo 2.9-liter V6 that powers the latest iteration, making 450 PS (444 hp / 331 kW) and 600 Nm (443 lb-ft) of torque, naught to 100 km/h (0-62 mph) takes only 4.1 seconds.

The base model, if you can call a 450 PS car base, has a top speed electronically limited at 250 km/h (155 mph). But with the RS Dynamic Package, which is an optional extra, the v-max can be increased to 280 km/h (174 mph). That should come in handy in the few places where a ride can achieve such a speed legally, and it also makes for a nice bragging piece of conversation.
There’s much more than meets the eye with the 2019 RS4 Avant. Surely, the best way to experience it is to actually drive it. But since most of us won’t be able to do that, then a POV video will have to do. So, prep yourselves for 11+ minutes of pure RS4 driving, sprinkled with the occasional burst of acceleration.
