The Lamborghini Huracan Performante was pretty much born in the Nurburgring, hence its record-breaking run that was recorded before it was officially unveiled the 2017 Geneva Motor Show.

With an official lap time of 6 minutes and 52.01 seconds, the Huracan Performante turned out to be faster than the Lamborghini Aventador SV and Porsche 918.

Since then, the Porsche 911 GT2 RS posted a new record, lapping the 20.6 km (12.8-mile) course in 6:47.3. It took the Italian car firm something even more extreme to reclaim the ‘Ring crown from the German supercar, and they finally managed to lap the track in 6:44.95 with the Aventador SVJ.

Now, let’s get back to the Huracan Performante, which was unleashed at the Nurburgring recently by SportAuto. In stock form, and wearing Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R tires, the vehicle posted an incredible time of 7:07.99.

Of course, that’s not even close to the official run, but it doesn’t make it any less exciting. In fact, some who have already seen the video described it as being much better than the original, so it’s bound to get your heart racing.

In between the apexes of the famous track, the Huracan Performante often reached speeds in excess of 250 km/h (155 mph), and more than 300 km/h (186 mph) at certain places. Before hitting the play button, you may want to turn the volume up a notch to better enjoy the V10’s sound.
