The Darkhorse sounds like a pretty cool name for a bar. However, customers are expected to leave their rides outside before entering.
Well, as Houston’s KTRK reports, a Mustang owner lost control of her vehicle and ending up crashing into the Darkhorse Tavern, which at the had several people inside. The cause of the accident is under investigation and police aren’t sure how fast she was driving or whether or not she had been drinking.
The latter seems possible as the occurred around 1 a.m. local time and customers said the woman had passed out. However, that’s unclear at the moment and Click2Houston reports the women was semi-unconscious by the time first responders arrived on the scene.

The Mustang reportedly crashed into a parking meter before hitting the front of the building. A table that could sit three to four people was close to the point of impact, however no one was sitting there when the incident happened.
Regardless, no one was hurt as the result of the accident and the bar’s manager grabbed a hammer to break the Mustang’s window so the driver could be pulled from the wreckage. Afterwards, she was taken to a local hospital.
Luckily, everyone escaped unharmed, although the building suffered some damages. Photos from the scene show the front wall suffered significant damage while a nearby wall shows several cracks. As a result, the bar will remain closed today so an engineer can inspect the damage and determine whether or not the structure is safe.
