What Do You Think Of This Ford Focus RS’ Interior Makeover?

While we’re still waiting for Ford to pull the cover off the new-gen Focus RS, the outgoing model recently paid a visit to Carlex Design.

Leaving the hot hatchback’s exterior design untouched, the tuner put all of its efforts in the cabin. Leather is the dominating material and can be found pretty much everywhere, from the seats to the door panels, armrest, gearshift selector, handbrake lever and central tunnel.

In addition, the steering wheel features perforated leather with yellow stitching, while the seats and door panels benefit from “dynamic seams” that “emphasize” the car’s “rally style”, at least according to Carlex.

If we were to compare the interior of this Ford Focus RS with the tuner’s other creations, we would look no further than at their McLaren 720S.

While no mods were made under the hood, with 350 PS (345 hp / 257 kW) and up to 470 Nm (347 lb-ft) of torque produced by the turbocharged 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine, the Ford Focus RS is no slouch. In fact, it’s up there with some older supercars in the 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) sprint time, hitting the mark in just 4.7 seconds. Flat out, the car will eventually max out at 266 km/h (165 mph). So, if the current one is so potent, imagine what its successor will do.
