Dacia announced pricing and range details of the new Duster TCe 130 and TCe 150 petrol models for the UK market. The latter is the most powerful engine ever to be used in a Dacia.

The engine in question is the new turbocharged 1.3-liter four-cylinder unit developed by Renault-Nissan and Daimler, featuring a gasoline particulate filter and new innovations such as “Bore Spray Coating”, which is applied on the inside of the cylinder for better performance and engine response.

The TCe 130 version produces 128hp (130PS) and 177lb-ft (240Nm) of torque and is paired to a six-speed manual gearbox, enabling the Dacia Duster to a 0-62mph (100km/h) in 11.1 seconds. CO2 emissions are rated at 137g/km while fuel economy is rated at a combined 47 mpg UK combined per the latest WLTP standards.

The more powerful TCe 150 produces 147hp (150PS) and 184lb-ft (250Nm) of torque, dropping the 0-62mph time to 10.4 seconds. CO2 emissions remain the same with the TCe 130 model, at 137g/km, as does the combined fuel economy, at 47mpg UK.

Customers in the UK will be initially able to buy the new petrol versions of the Dacia Duster in front-drive configuration, with an all-wheel drive option to become available from mid-2019.

The new Dacia Duster TCe 130 is available in two trim levels – Comfort and Prestige. Base Comfort models come equipped with features such as 16-inch alloy wheels, rear parking camera and sensors and a seven-inch infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

The range-topping TCe 150 is available only in the Prestige trim level, featuring 17-inch alloy wheels, multi-view camera, blind spot warning, climate control and keyless entry.

Prices for the new Dacia Duster TCe 130 start from £14,395, while the TCe 150 is priced from £16,295. The first customer deliveries are expected to start in the UK from March.
