Celebrity chef Jamie Oliver is the first person to drive Land Rover’s all-new Range Rover Evoque in London, as well as one of the first people to drive the car period.

In order to celebrate this event, Oliver visited some of his favorite London food spots, looking for ingredients that would ultimately lead to the city’s best veggie burger, which he then cooked for guests at Land Rover’s Evoque Experience.

“I absolutely love this car, it was so much fun to drive on the busy streets of London and through the water trough in the Bishopsgate tunnels. I’ve always loved Land Rover and I had a brilliant time designing my cooking car last year, so when I was asked to come and test out the new Evoque, I jumped at the chance,” said the celeb chef.

“The fact that Land Rover can create something as versatile as the Discovery and as agile as the Evoque is such a testament to this brilliant British brand.”

During his time behind the wheel of the crossover, Oliver visited Brick Lane and stopped to get spices, yogurt and bread rolls, and he even had time to go by Bishopsgate Goods Yard where Land Rover arranged a little demonstration – he got to wade through water pools and take the Evoque across a series of ramps.

As for how easy it was to park the new Evoque on the streets of London, that’s where the car’s ClearSight Rear View feature came in handy, turning the rear-view mirror into an HD screen.
