We’ve featured many spectacular renderings created by designer Alexander Imnadze over the years, but none of them was for a truck.
As the saying goes, there’s a first time for everything, so today we bring you Imnadze’s latest project: the Porsche GT Vision truck. Mind you, it’s not your average truck. Instead, it’s a race car transporter that Imnadze envisioned for a very special competition vehicle — the Porsche 906/917 Concept he penned two years ago.
Transporting Le Mans race cars isn’t the only thing the GT Vision truck is capable of doing, though. The vehicle doubles as a race truck when the trailer is detached, offering the best of both worlds.
Obviously, this product of Imnadze’s imagination has even fewer chances to see the light of day than any of his stunning creations. That doesn’t mean it’s not one of the coolest designs we’ve seen in a long time. It features a futuristic cab design thanks to the wraparound windscreen, rear view cameras and LED headlights with customizable signature.
The cab gets slightly narrower as it meets the chassis, resulting in a muscular appearance. Seeing it from the side, the viewer gets the same impression due to the sculpted treatment of the chassis over the massive wheels. At the rear, the Porsche GT Vision truck features taillights inspired by the brand’s current lineup, an integrated spoiler, air vents, and a sizable diffuser.
We don’t know exactly the type of powertrain Imnadze envisioned for his project, but the lack of exhaust pipes leads us to believe we’re dealing with an all-electric truck. So what’s it going to be, the futuristic Porsche GT Vision or the classic Mercedes-Benz Renntransporter?
