If your idea of a muscle car looks like a cross between a Ford Mustang and a Ford Falcon, then you’re going to enjoy looking at this Tauler E301 Concept render.
The car was named after 14th century German theologian Johannes Tauler and it’s meant to represent a sort of modern-day “sports-muscle coupe”. As for who designed it, that would be one David Stingl, who is clearly a fan of rear-wheel drive two-door cars – as are most driving enthusiasts.
What’s there to like about it?
For starters, the front end design, the powerful shoulder line and even the long rear overhang. It almost looks like a “longtail”, but clearly not in a conventional way.
The overall aesthetic is sufficiently modern, although more so in a way best suited for a few years ago, rather than something that might hypothetically go into production a few years from now. Its classic lines are by no means retro, nor are they futuristic in any way shape or form. Then there’s the DRL design, which seems a little understated for this day and age, yet some people might actually like that.
But what do you think? Does this render look like something that should one day roll off someone’s assembly line, or is its early 2010s exterior design something that wouldn’t exactly fit in with real-world future sports cars. Sound off below.
