Renault is working on an updated version of the Zoe, which is tipped to premiere this year with revised exterior and interior styling, and probably new technologies.
As seen in an image posted on WorldScoopForum, the subcompact electric car sports a larger grille and what appears to be a slightly bigger diamond logo. The headlights have been modified and the bumper sports a new air intake.
Believed to have originated from Snapchat, the picture was probably shot in Guyancourt, where Renault’s technical center is located.

The 2020 Zoe is believed to keep the electric motor that powers the outgoing Zoe R110, which makes 109 PS (107 hp / 80 kW) and 225 Nm (166 lb-ft) of torque. The current Zoe accelerates to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 11.4 seconds and maxes out at 135 km/h (84 mph).
Nonetheless, some technical revisions are expected from the new model. But while we don’t know what these are yet, it’s likely that the battery pack will be updated, or perhaps replaced with a new one, with emphasis on increased driving range and improved charging times.
The Zoe R110 can travel for up to 300 km (186 miles) between charges and uses a 41 kWh lithium-ion battery, which can be charged to 80 percent in 1 hour and 40 minutes.
A Geneva Motor Show premiere for the 2020 Zoe is possible, although there’s no official confirmation yet.
