Hyundai has teamed up with Marvel to create a special edition of the Kona subcompact crossover called the Iron Man, which it revealed last July at the San Diego Comic-Con show.
Set to arrive at UK dealers from March 1, it has a starting price of £27,995 ($36,035/€31,688) and comes with several special features that set it apart from normal version, both on the outside and in the cockpit.
Finished in Matte Grey with Red Armor, the Kona Iron Man Edition has special ‘Iron Man’ emblems, red bonnet bezel with the ‘Marvel’ logo and special 18-inch alloy wheels, with a dual-tone look.

Exclusive styling details can be found in the cockpit as well, where users will be greeted by the leather wrapped seats with contrast stitching and piping, ‘Stark Industries’ embossing and ‘Iron Man’ image on the backrests, and a ‘Tony Stark’ signature on the dashboard.
The leather wrapped gear lever with red stitching has special graphics, and so do the instrument cluster and tachometer. As a final touch, the ‘Iron Man’ eyes are displayed during system check on the supervision instrument cluster.
The Krell Premium sound system, an infotainment system with 8-inch display, sat-nav, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, climate control, heated and ventilated front seats and keyless entry are all standard features. The equipment list also includes LED lighting units on the outside, autonomous emergency braking, driver attention alert, blind spot detection, lane keep assist, rear cross traffic alert and downhill brake control.
Power comes from the 1.6-liter T-GDi engine, rated at 177 PS (175 hp / 130 kW), which works together with a 7-speed dual clutch transmission and front-wheel drive.
