The automotive world has a fascination with retro-inspired vehicles that have styling which harks back to simpler times but all the technology you’d want from a modern car. The Alpine A110 is the perfect example of this.

The following creation from Ugur Sahin Design takes things to a whole new level.

Inspired by perhaps the most beautiful Alfa Romeo ever made, the 33 Stradale, Sahin has designed a modern interpretation of the vehicle based around the 4C sports car. In the middle of last year, we came across another 33 Stradale-inspired sports car but Sahin’s creation has drastically different styling.

One of the 33 Stradale’s most iconic elements are its gargantuan headlights and to pay homage to the original, the Alfa Romeo ‘Nivola’ pictured features headlight units of a similar size. The original also incorporated small additional lights on either side of the headlights and the Nivola features similar lights, albeit moved into the grille.

The Nivola’s retro features don’t stop here. Like the 33 Stradale, there has been a big focus placed on making the car feels as airy as possible. Consequently, there’s a curved windscreen that seamlessly wraps around and joins with the side windows. Small intakes behind the doors are also present.

Styling at the rear consists of circular taillights, two large tailpipes, and a small air vent where you may expect to find a spoiler.

Alfa Romeo has confirmed it’s working on a mid-engine successor to the iconic 8C. Will it look anything like the Nivola? We can only hope…
