The Ontario Provincial Police stopped a teen driver who was going 246 km/h (153 mph), on Highway 403, close to Erin Mills Parkway in Canada.

The incident was recorded on Monday night, according to GlobalNews, who says that the 19-year old man was driving an Audi, without mentioning the model.

It wasn’t his car however, Sergeant Kerry Schmidt revealed, stating that he borrowed it from a friend a few minutes earlier and wanted to test it out. And that he did, going all out on the busy highway right before the officers pulled him over.

“[He] found a nice open stretch of the 403 and opened it up in front of officers who were doing speed enforcement”, said Schmidt. “They clocked him doing 246 km/h (153 mph). That was it for his test drive.”

“You’re dealing with winter weather in February even though it was warm, roads are wet and you don’t know what’s happening around you, what the conditions are”, added the officer. “You hit a chunk of ice, you hit a pothole, hit some slush or a car pulls in front of you, you may think you’re in control until you are out of control.”

As a result of his actions, the Audi was impounded for a week. Also, the young man had his license suspended for seven days but that’s the least of his worries, as he could face criminal charges.
